Arles & I spent a few days in Phoenix this week and drove to the Grand Canyon for a day trip. It was the most beautiful and amazing sight. I felt so close to Heaven there. I prayed for Harry, Amanda's father-in-law who was undergoing a liver transplant at that very time and knew that this was as close to God as I could get at that moment. What an emotional time for everyone, having someone you love so close to death's door and having our awesome God come to the rescue at the final hour. I realize as I grow older how precious each minute and hour here on earth really are and I try not to take that time for granted. Thus, one of the reasons we went away for a few days, to get back into being a couple instead of everyone's Dad, Mom, Gigi, Papaw, brother, sister, etc. Sometimes, it is necessary to just take a break and have time for each other. Here are some of the awesome photos from that day trip. Arles wanted to see some animals and we finally did on our way out of the park. What a beautiful "wonder of the world" the Grand Canyon really is. Thank you all for praying for Harry during this emotional time in their lives. He is doing well and God proved again how wonderful He really is. Enjoy the photos.

About Me
- Gigi 2008
- I have the most amazing family and spend most of my time with them. I have twin daughters who are 32. They have given me Tessa age 4, Isabella age 3, Harrison who is 2 and Pierce Hayden who is 5 months. I also have 3 step children who have blessed me with Heath and Heather - who are almost 14, Bailey who is 13, Alyssa who is 7, Greyson who is 5 and Tinsley who is 5 months. I am a blessed Gigi!! I am a builder of custom homes and have a subdivision that I am developing, I have a Nashville vacation rental that keeps me hopping, I recently took on a beautiful new position editing and proofreading for a speaker/book writer with Psalms 31 Ministries, I am also editing a book for a beautiful Christian friend who is about ready to publish her first book, I am working diligently for the next Congressman for the 5th District in Tennessee and just recently have started campaigning for a family member who is running as an independent for the Governor of Tennessee. I travel a lot with my husband and find my most satisfying position in life is as a daughter to my amazing Mom and as Gigi to my beautiful "little people"!! Life couldn't be more busy, crazy and chaotic - and I love it!!
Things I enjoy:
- All the females in my life
- Amusement parks and the rides
- Books - The Bible, travel books on other countries, decorating books, books of poetry, self-help books
- Candlelight, a gentle fire, homemade Wine and Pomegranite Martinis
- Clean sheets on the bed and a new bar of soap
- Grilling out with great company
- Music by Luther Vandross, George Benson, Bonnie Raite, Music from the Disco Era, Praise & Worship Music
- The beach, the sound of ocean waves, sun and sand
- The excitement of slot machines
- The laughter of my grandchildren
- The smells of rain, babies and Chanel #5
